Chemotherapy

A Simple protocol:

Glutamine powder – one scoop twice a day in water
N-acetyl Cysteine –NAC – One capsule twice a day
Taurine – one capsule twice
Sam-e: one tablet twice a day

Description

Chemotherapy is an Orthodox Medical Procedure utilized in the treatment of Cancer that involves the use of Anti-metabolites or Cytotoxic Drugs to kill Cancer cells.

Toxic Effects of Chemotherapy

Cardiovascular System

Many of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized in Chemotherapy may cause Macrocytic Anaemia.

Digestive System

Chemotherapy may cause the barrier of the Intestine to become permeable and leaky and allows Detrimental Bacteria to enter the bloodstream.
Chemotherapy destroys the Villi of the Small Intestine (small projections from the Intestinal Wall of the Small Intestine that are the primary site of digestion of nutrients).
The Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized during the administration of Chemotherapy often cause Vomiting.

Immune System

Chemotherapy may damage the Bone Marrow.
Although Chemotherapy is used to treat Cancer, it may increase the subsequent risk of developing other forms of Cancer later in life (due to the unselective killing of the body’s Cells):
- Chemotherapy patients are 14 times more likely to develop Leukemia than patients who have not undergone Chemotherapy and Chemotherapy patients are 6 times more likely to develop Cancer of the Bones, Joints and soft tissue.
Chemotherapy may suppress the Immune System.

Metabolism

Chemotherapy may cause Liver damage.
Chemotherapy may Interfere with these Substances
Amino Acids

Chemotherapy may cause severe depletion of Taurine (therefore supplemental Taurine is considered beneficial for any person undergoing Chemotherapy). references

Vitamins

Chemotherapy may cause the depletion of Vitamin A. references
Chemotherapy may interfere with the intestinal absorption of dietary Vitamin K and may interfere with Vitamin K synthesis in the Liver.

These Substances may Enhance Chemotherapy’s Ability to Kill Tumours

Amino Acids

When Glutamine is supplemented in conjunction with Chemotherapy, tumours may decrease in size by up to 45%, compared to 25% when Glutamine is not supplemented (this indicates that Glutamine may increase the susceptibility of Cancer cells to the cytotoxic effects of Chemotherapy): references

- Glutamine may also increase the survival rate of Chemotherapy patients.

Lipids

Superunsaturated Fatty Acids may increase the effectiveness of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs employed in Chemotherapy. references

Vitamins

Vitamin A may increase the effectiveness of Chemotherapy when supplemental Vitamin A is used as a co-treatment with Chemotherapy in the treatment of Cancer. references
Vitamin C may increase the effectiveness of Chemotherapy when supplemental Vitamin C is used as a co-treatment with Chemotherapy in the treatment of Cancer. references

Other Therapies that may Increase the Effectiveness of Chemotherapy

Heat Therapy

Hyperthermia (Heat Therapy) may increase the effectiveness of Chemotherapy in the treatment of various forms of Cancer. references

These Substances may Reduce the Side Effects of Chemotherapy

Amino Acids

Cysteine may reduce the side effects that occur during Chemotherapy:
- N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) (1,800 mg per day) may reduce the Vomiting and Nausea that occur as side effects of Chemotherapy. references
Glutamine may alleviate numerous toxic side effects associated with Chemotherapy: references
- Glutamine may enhance the repair of Intestines damaged by Chemotherapy.
- Glutamine may help to repair the damage that Chemotherapy causes to the Immune System. When Glutamine is supplemented in Chemotherapy subjects the infection rate may drop to 3%, compared to 100% without Glutamine.

- Glutamine (up to 30 grams per day) may alleviate the Pain and accelerate the healing of open sores in the mouth (oral mucositis) caused by Chemotherapy.
- Glutamine (18 grams (18,000 mg) per day for three days prior to the commencement of Chemotherapy) may reduce the incidence of Gastrointestinal discomfort and Diarrhoea in people undergoing Chemotherapy.
- Glutamine’s positive effects as an adjunct to Chemotherapy treatment may be due to its ability to stimulate Glutathione production.
S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) may help to prevent the Liver toxicity associated with the Pharmaceutical Drugs used in Chemotherapy. references
Supplemental Taurine may counteract the severe depletion of serum Taurine caused by the Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized in Chemotherapy. [more info]

Hormones

Melatonin may protect against many of the toxic effects of Chemotherapy. references

Lipids

Superunsaturated Fatty Acids may reduce the toxic side effects associated with the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs employed in Chemotherapy. references

Vitamins

Vitamin B3 may inhibit the ability of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized in Chemotherapy to damage the Chromosomes of Bone Marrow. references
Vitamin E may reduce the toxicity of some of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized in Chemotherapy. [more info]

These Foods/Herbs may Reduce the Side Effects of Chemotherapy

Herbs

Astragalus may reduce the toxicity of many of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceuticals utilized during Chemotherapy. references
Cat’s Claw is claimed to minimize the toxic side effects of Chemotherapy. references
Ginger may help to reduce the Nausea and Vomiting that occur as side effects of Chemotherapy. references

Korean Ginseng may reduce the side effects of Chemotherapy. [more info]
Marijuana may alleviate the Nausea and Vomiting experienced by persons undergoing Chemotherapy treatment: [more info]
- Caution: Marijuana is an illicit substance in most regions.

Siberian Ginseng may counteract the toxic side effects of Chemotherapy. references

Seeds

Grape Seeds (extract) may protect healthy Cells from the toxic effects of the excessive generation of Free Radicals that occurs as a result of the Anti-Cancer Pharmaceutical Drugs utilized in Chemotherapy to treat Cancer. references
